Cranberry Walnut Jello Salad

This Cranberry Walnut Jello Salad combines the sweetness of Jello with tart cranberries and walnut crunch. An addictive addition to Thanksgiving dinner!

We all have something we look forward to at Thanksgiving dinner. I was so excited about cranberries that I couldn’t wait until Thursday. I’ve already made and eaten two batches of this Cranberry Walnut Jello Salad recipe with fresh cranberries in cherry Jello with walnuts. I think it’s safe to say I’m addicted to the sweetness of the jello with the tart berries and the crunch of the walnuts.

As always, my version modifies a recipe I found online. Try this with your turkey, and let me know which Thanksgiving treat you’re addicted to!

  • 2 cups fresh cranberries
  • 1 1/4 cup water
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1 pkg. cherry Jello
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts
  1. Boil cranberries in the water until they crack.
  2. Add sugar and cook 5 minutes.
  3. Add Jello.
  4. Cool to room temperature and add nuts.
  5. Refrigerate for several hours before serving and/or just eating the whole batch by yourself.
