One of the things I love about being a grownup is finally finding the beauty products that work for me—after all the trials and errors. I’ve wasted product after product because they just weren’t right. You can’t return beauty products once they’re opened, and often I felt bad for throwing away products I spent a fortune on.
After a year or so, I would look at a makeup bag filled with failed beauty products and think, “Ok, really, my skin’s not changing, this product is not getting better with age. It’s probably time to throw them out.” After hours of research, hope, and many trials, I finally found the five products I am truly in love with.
1. IT Cosmetics Celebration Foundation
It Cosmetics Celebration Foundation completely changed my life because it finally resolved my struggle to achieve a flawless, smooth finish. Never in my adulthood did I think I would reach out for a powder, which until now had given me a dry, flaky cake face. Even some liquid foundations gave me a cake face. The ones that didn’t would easily wipe off. I was embarrassed to wipe my nose or mouth as it would leave a big beige mess on my napkin. The last thing I wanted was to be watchful of where my face left its mark.
This foundation, however, is a game-changer. The manufacturer, IT Cosmetics, claims “it’s your full-coverage, flawless skin in 30 seconds!” I would not say it any differently. In 30 seconds, my dark spots are covered, my skin feels smooth and flawless, and the color doesn’t wipe off easily. I couldn’t ask for more.
2. Mally Beauty Evercolor Shadow Stick
The Evercolor Shadow Stick can be used as an eye shadow or a shadow primer. It has a creamy texture and comes in many shades. “Gorgeous, versatile color that locks on and lasts until you take it off”—that’s no joke. You have about 30 seconds to wipe it off. After that, the only way to get it out is to wipe it off with a wet cloth.
I have hooded eyes which cause shadows to bunch up into a crescent-shaped line on my lids. This shadow stick stops that from happening and my shadow stays the way I applied it all day.
This shadow stick is a must-have, especially for the beach vacations. It even stays on when I get in the swimming pool.
3. BH Cosmetics Color Lock Long Last Lipstick
By now, you should be convinced by my fascination with long lasting make-up. I do not like to and will not reapply my makeup. I rather not put on make up, then constantly re-apply. This is why BH Cosmetics Color Lock Long Last Lipstick is an essential to my daily makeup routine.
Most lipsticks feel like a gooey layer which rub off by anything and everything. I’m always cautious of touching my lips or if I do, mistakenly, I’m afraid I have the clown affect. This lipstick completely absorbs into my lips without drying them. And of course, the best part is that they don’t rub off. The color fades after perhaps a couple meals. During normal working days, it stays on all day. Love it!
4. Neutrogena Rapid Wrinkle Repair Night
I have very dry skin and many facial creams either leave my face greasy, irritated, or flaky. I came across Neutrogena Rapid Wrinkle Repair randomly; we were looking for a solution to my husband’s droopy skin caused by Bell’s Palsy. When I tried it on my skin, I was converted. It makes my skin very soft, keeps it moist, and, in the morning, leaves a smooth surface to put foundation on. Plus, I am actively improving my skin’s elasticity and preventing future wrinkles.
5. Dead Sea Mud Mask
On my good weeks, I spend a few extra minutes in the shower to treat my skin with a Dead Sea Mud Mask from Pure Body Naturals. I actually received mine as a gift directly from Israel when my aunt came to visit us from there.
I apply a thin layer while I shower and shave. It leaves my skin feeling fresh, smooth, youthful, and glowing. It also minimizes pores and fades dark spots. I absolutely love feeling my skin with my finger tips after this Mud Mask treatment.
If you’re still in search for the perfect beauty products, give these a try. They just might become your new favorites, too.
