Many of our readers might be wondering if I’m participating in this blog anymore. I haven’t posted in months. That’s because our family is facing some of the challenges that other families are facing in this recession and my husband has asked that I keep the details private. Like many men, he has been feeling the brunt of the trouble, and that affects his pride and confidence, as you can imagine. I respect his feelings and his wishes. Plus, with the way things have been going this year, I just haven’t had the time or energy to write about any of it. I feel like I’ve taken the term “working mom” to a new level of meaning.
So anyway. That’s why you haven’t heard from me.
I did, however, want to say that sometimes work has its perks, one of which being that I currently am in Hawaii. I will be working my tail off while I’m here, helping with an important project. But I still have evenings to sit by the beach with a drink and work on my latest novel. My only regret is that we couldn’t afford to bring my husband along so that he could enjoy a break and catch a few rays.
Life is good, even when it’s challenging, right?
Good luck with the challenges. It's never easy is it.
