Custom Made for Kids Book Review

With my daughter’s 2nd birthday coming up, I wanted something really special to mark the occasion. (OK, so she probably won’t “get” that it’s special right now–but she’ll appreciate it later, right?)

That’s why I was excited to learn about Custom Made for Kids books and gifts from the co-founders, Sarah Headrick and Sarah Rivera (both moms and entrepreneurs living in Chicago). They reached out to tell me about their personalized keepsake, The First Adventures of Incredible You, a hardcover book filled with details about your child and beautiful full-color illustrations.

I went to their website to order a copy for Cassie’s birthday, answered a heap of questions about her, and in a minute or so, voila! I created a unique book with a dedication from Mommy and Daddy on the occasion of her 2nd birthday. (Take a virtual tour to see what it would look like for your kiddo.)

When the book arrived, I was impressed by the quality of the cover, the printing, and most importantly, the way Cassie’s favorite people, places, things, and activities were woven into the story. Priced at $32.95, The First Adventures of Incredible You is a very affordable way to mark a big occasion in a child’s life–birthday, baptism, holiday, first communion, etc.

One “wish for” I had with Custom Made for Kids was the option to incorporate a photo of Cassie into the book. For her first Christmas, I created a Sesame Street book on Shutterfly that included her photo, and now she really enjoys seeing herself pictured with Elmo, Big Bird, and Cookie Monster.

Overall, I really liked Custom Made for Kids and would definitely recommend it to other moms, or anyone who wants to give a unique gift to a special little someone in her life. I can’t wait to give Cassie her book in a couple of weeks!

  1. How very cool. The B-Man’s birthday is coming up and he’d love this.

  2. I got this book for Deal last year for his second birthday. He loves it because as the second child, he rarely gets anything all his very own. I would definitely recommend this one!

Oh how cool! I have something similar for my two older girls – and would love to have one of these for my youngest! 🙂
