Friday Finds – 1/05/07

It’s the first Friday of 2007. Try to contain your excitement. Tela helped with this week’s finds. Here’s what we found…

– New year workouts leaving you exhausted? Chug some chocolate milk. It sounds gross, but I saw a short news segment that said the kid-drink is great for replenishing your muscles and regaining your energy after a workout.

Etsy.com–Tela found this cool website where you can buy or sell handmade items. If you have five birthdays to buy for this month (like me) this site will come in handy.

– Who would buy a dismantled concert stage set from Whitney Houston? You mean I have to put it together?!? Dang. Be nosy and see what else Bobby Brown’s baby mama is auctioning off.

More from Tela…

Best of Bootie 2006 CD–Fun mashups for those music-lovin’ mamas out there.

– One of my favorite books ever, Bridge to Terabitha, has been made into a movie. I’m not sure I like what I see. From the preview, it seems like the moviemakers are trying to capture the whole Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, Narnia fantasy thing, but the book wasn’t all about that. Yeah, there was make believe, the larger picture was around a sweet friendship and heartbreaking loss. See for the preview and judge for yourself.

  1. Here’s a bonus Friday Find: CafeMom. It’s like MySpace for moms! CafeMom is a social networking spinoff from ClubMom. The site allows you to stay in touch with friends, find/make new ones, and create a personalized home page. I just joined it last week. Want to be my friend? Check out my CafeMom profile.
