Cara’s Finds

–Pampering at half the price.
I don’t know about you, but I never shop for gifts at Bath & Body Works, at least before December 25. I just can’t spend the full price, when I know those tempting gift sets go on sale for 50% off or more as soon as the holiday is over. So I usually wait and treat myself to a post-Christmas relief gift basket. Or, here’s a secret–Sometimes I stock up on little gifts to give next year. Hey, lotion and bath gels never expire! Why don’t you check out the sale, too. Wait at least a week or two longer, and those babies go down to 75% off. But, unfortunately there’s less of a selection.

What to do with all those pretty cards? I hate to throw away all the holiday cards we get in the mail from family and friends. Last year, I kept the picture ones and displayed them on our door to the garage. Don’t know what to do with all of yours? The Goody Blog has some good ideas on how to reuse holiday cards.

  1. My 4 year old daughter loved opening and looking at all the photo cards we got this holiday. I love them too, I have to admit that I’m disappointed when I get a regular card. But most of our friends have kids, which means they do the photo cards, which means I have a million of them. And I was determined to get rid of all the Xmas clutter on NY Day. My 4 year old got a photo album for Xmas, so we cut out/peeled off the photos from the cards and put them in her album. Now she has recent photos of all her friends and family!

  2. Hey Moira, that’s a great idea! I bet my daughter would love that, too. I also have a little photo album that she could use. Thanks!
