Cara’s Finds
—Party (Little) PEOPLEEE! A few weeks ago I posted about finding the Little People 50th anniversary collections at Toys “R” Us. This Saturday you and your kids can get in on the celebration with this cool free event. Visit Toys “R” Us from 12 to 2 p.m. on Saturday to play with new Little People toys, participate in activities, and receive a free goody bag with a complimentary DVD and activity book!
—Mortgage help. If your struggling to make your monthly mortgage payments because your income has suddenly dropped. Or if you’ve been making payments on time, but are unable to take advantage of the low refinancing rates because the value of your home has dropped–you might want to visit the government’s website MakingHomeAffordable.gov. A quick questionnaire will help you determine if you’re eligible for help and guide you on what to do next.
—Is Facebook your BFF? It seems like everybody is Facebooking it these days. But, an interesting Real Simple article asks “Can Facebook Be Your Friend?” Whether you’re on the site or not it’s changing the world as we speak.
FYI, I took advantage of the same e.l.f. deal a year or more ago (maybe it’s a periodic marketing technique?). Anyway, I ordered a lot of stuff, and only received about half of it. I only got charged for what I received, but my boss was charged for a lot of things she did not receive. So just pay attention to your credit card statement.
I just deleted my fabulous makeup deal find, after discovering (sadly) it was a scam. At least, according to Snopes. Sorry ’bout that!
Cala–Thanks for the Little People tip! Too bad it’s during O’s naptime. Wah wah. No worries, I couldn’t stand another Little People DVD… Cue Aaron Neville: discovering you, discovering me…
I’m SO checking out the mortgage thing. Thanks!
These are all fabulous finds! Listing resources for people to explore their mortgage options is certainly timely! I will make sure to pass this on to my friends…. Thanks for sharing this list.
