Susan’s Finds

Countdown to BSG premiere: 14 days! For my fellow Battlestar Galactica peeps, check out the SciFi Channel site with preview clips, a hilarious three-season recap (in eight minutes!), and more goodies. Sad that this will be the last season, but so excited for the upcoming Caprica prequel.

Good housekeepers are hard to find, right? Hooray for Care.com recently adding housekeeping to its growing stable of service providers. Now you can get a babysitter, a pet sitter, a Grandma sitter, and a housekeeper–all from one trusted source. Check out my review of Care.com from a few months back.

PBS Kids does it again. The same people who create terrific TV programming for kids have launched PBS Kids Play! It’s a Web-based, educational subscription service for families with preschoolers and kindergartners. Use the free 15-day trial to let your 3- to 6-year-old try out the games and activities (based on their favorite PBS Kids characters). An unlimited-access subscription costs $9.95 a month or $79 a year.

Tela’s Finds

–This “awareness test” has been making the Internet rounds with the quickness this week, but just in case you haven’t seen it: here it is. I personally, never miss bikers on the road. They ride in front of my car and they wear fluorescent colors. I’d have to be color blind and, uh, have no vision in front of my face to miss ’em.

–I’m not even sure what to say about these two sites, but they sure crack me up. People are weird. HilaryIsMomJeans.com and BarackObamaIsYourNewBicycle.com.

The Daily Countdown to Bossy’s Excellent Road Trip is in its final days. I think the closest she’s coming to Cincinnati is Indianapolis. Poo. Well, anyway, safe travels, Bossy!
