Cara’s Finds

New Sesame Street book. Did you know Nov. 10 marks the 40-year anniversary of Sesame Street? A new hardcover book, Sesame Street: A Celebration of 40 Years on the Street is a collection of everything you love about the children show. Although I haven’t had the chance to look through it, I heard it includes an awesome inside peek at everything behind-the-scenes, including over 1,500 photos, puppeteer profiles, how the Muppets are created and built, special appearance by celebrities over the years and more. Sounds like the perfect holiday gift for the ultimate Sesame Street fan!

Donate a coat and get 20% off a new one. Beginning today until November 30, Lands’ End is hosting Big Warm-up coat donation sites at its 252 Lands’ End Shops at Sears and 13 Lands’ End Inlets. Donated coats will be distributed via the National Coalition for the Homeless in communities nearby. For each donated coat, you’ll receive 20 percent off a new one. Pretty cool!

Happy B-Day Sesame Street… I hope they don't start changing the basic elements that have made the show work so well for all these years

I agree with your top 10 list but would put ‘Bein Green as my number one song. Years ago I went and boghut all the sheet music to the majority of the songs just so that I can play them in the quietness of my own home. This goes to show the power that children’s music can and will continue to play for generations to come.
