Cara’s Finds
—Disney On Ice. I’m looking forward to taking my daughter to her first Disney on Ice show when it comes to Cincinnati, September 23-27. Disney presents 100 Years of Magic, featuring 65 unforgettable characters from 18 beloved Disney stories. For Dayton-area mommies, don’t miss the show the week before, September 17-20. To order discount tickets, visit ticketmaster.com and enter the code MOM for 4 tickets for $44 for a Monday-Friday matinée show or $4 off tickets for a Friday night or weekend show.
UPDATE: Get a free ticket to the Dayton show by donating a dress! On Wednesday, Sept 16, at 3pm the “Clothes that Work” Charity, located at 1133 Edwin Moses Blvd, Dayton, OH will be giving away 100 Homecoming dresses to girls that would otherwise not be able to afford their own. A free ticket to the Disney On Ice show is also given to each person that donates a dress! On the 16th, the girls will be able to come to “Clothes that Work,” try on dresses, pick out their favorite one to take home, and even meet some of the skaters and Disney characters from the shows.
—Pancake Mountain. Ever heard of a kids’ show called Pancake Mountain? I hadn’t until my sister told me about it. It airs mostly in the east coast on cable access, but unfortunately no where here in the Midwest. Pancake Mountain features a goat puppet named Rufus and some very cool musicians like Kings of Leon, Eddie Vedder, Jason Mraz and more. Definitely a fun show to watch, even if you just see a few clips online.
