Have you and your spouse ever forgotten your own anniversary … only to remember it days or weeks after the fact (followed by a “D’oh!” smack to the forehead)?
Well, that sort of happened to us here at Working Moms Against Guilt. Earlier in the fall, we started making plans to do something cool to celebrate the first year of our blog. But the closer it got to November 13, the more stuff (ya know, major life changes, lousy luck, etc.) seemed to get in the way of our big plans. Then, we kind of just … forgot.
It happens. But it doesn’t mean we aren’t proud of keeping up this blog for one whole year (plus!) Since we launched, we’ve attracted a lot of interest from the blogosphere, traditional media, and most importantly, lots of working moms like us. Here are some interesting results we’ve experienced since last November to the present:
- 18,951 unique visitors
- 41,302 visits
- 694 referring websites/pages
- Visitors from 108 countries and all 50 United States
- Top 100,000 blogs ranked by Technorati
- Appearances and mentions in local, national, and international media, including the Wall Street Journal, Stars and Stripes, Miami Herald, Detroit Free Press, Kansas City Star, Portland Oregonian, The Mike and Juliet Show, and ABC News Now.
We couldn’t be happier with the reception WMAG has had since we launched in 2006. Here’s to big things in the year ahead–for us and all the WMAGs who read this blog. Thank you!
Congrats and happy blog anniversary! 🙂
