Today, we’re celebrating a new national holiday that’s all about putting an end to the judgments that moms make toward one another. March 4 is Moms for Moms Day, as declared by our friends at The Bump and CT Working Moms (and made official by Connecticut governor Daniel Malloy—there’s a sealed proclamation and everything!)
A major goal of Working Moms Against Guilt is to stop judging ourselves and each other so harshly, and start supporting and encouraging every mother’s choices. So we decided to join in the fun and do some WMAG “Mommy Truth” selfies, inspired by all the great pics we saw over at The Bump. It’s our way of saying Happy Moms for Moms Day—let’s end the mommy wars and high five our fellow mamas everywhere.
WMAG’s tribute to Happy Moms for Moms Day
“Every mom makes the best choices for her family.”—Sara
“We’re all in this together.”—Jenny
“I am a single, traveling career mom with a nanny/housekeeper … who drinks a lot of red wine.” | “I am a married, stay-at-home, homeschooling, do-it-all-myself mom … who drinks a lot of red wine.” — Terry and her BFF
“I support your Mommy decisions (even if they are different than my own).”—Stephanie
“I work full-time (and I like it).”—Susan
“I am habitually late to everything, including this post, and I am in awe of those who are on time!”—Casey
“Moms have to make lots of choices. If your choice is based in love, it is the right one.”—Lauren
Got your own Mommy Truth to share?
Post it on your social medium of choice with the hashtag #Moms4Moms and tagging @TheBump and @CTWorkingMoms (and @WMAGBlog while you’re at it!). Together, we’re all one step closer to finally closing the door on the Mommy Wars. Make your own sign or you can download The Bump’s printable template.
