Here’s why I do Google Alerts on my name. Once in a while, I get an alert that just blows my mind. Like this morning. Apparently, I was quoted in a CNN news story about a recent survey on working moms and their happiness.
Say whaaaa? I didn’t actually talk to anyone at CNN. Hence, I was not aware they found my blog post from Tuesday and quoted from it in their story.
So if you are a CNN viewer who heard about WorkingMomsAgainstGuilt.com and decided to check us out, welcome! And thanks for the reference, Ed Payne from CNN. Come back anytime for more quotes. Or just email me.
I am a working mother of 3. I came across the article on CNN and thouhgt I would look into the blog. 🙂
Hey Tracey! Welcome. I'm not Sue, but another "mom."
Sue, how random! The article kinda just ends aruptly, but cool! Now, if they would just have directly linked to us!!
Indeed, I found this site from CNN….Thanks YOU! 🙂
Cool! But I'm a journalist, too, and I sort of think it's weird they just quoted you without contacting you or even giving you a heads-up they were going to use WMAG in a story. Especially when a quick email is so easy. Not dissing CNN, and obviously no harm no foul, but it's not how I would have done it.
Very cool but CNN should have at least let you know (at the very least.) I have a journalism degree and work in publishing and that just seems like slacker journalism.
OK you actually inspired me to do a Google Alert search for both my name and my blog name and I actually found that ParentDish had featured one of my Tweets from the week. Pretty nifty.
And yes I just said nifty. I swear I'm 80 years old lately. 😉
so cool that you were quoted! Shouldn't be shocked because you are a mega blogger!
Cool that you got quoted, but they probably found you through this blog, which is co-written by four women…not just you, right?
