It’s snowing like mad outside, and I’m glad glad glad. Why? It’s forcing everyone to snuggle up and get cozy inside, which is just what I need right now.
I had a fairly crazy week, working pretty much from morning till night, topped off with an overnight business trip to Miami (no, I didn’t get to hang out on the beach and get girl-drink drunk). It felt like I hardly spent any time with my hubby or daughter.
Fortunately, the blizzard of the year has helped keep us close this weekend. We’re hanging out in the living room, dancing like fools in tutus, and making tasty meals to enjoy together. I was looking forward to getting together at Cara’s tonight for a WMAG family dinner, but that’s postponed. No one can even make it out of their driveways, let alone navigate the streets!
So our little family of 3 (plus the dog, and 2 cats who get a basement reprieve from their usual outdoor habitat) will look out the drift-covered windows and huddle together, savoring the guilt-free weekend doing not much of anything.
