Tonight as I was tucking my (almost) 5-year-old son in bed we had an interesting conversation. It went like this:
Him: “I don’t know what I want to be when I grow up.”
Me: “You can be anything you want to be.”
Him: “Maybe I’ll be a fish guy (he’s really into fishing)… or just a people.”
Me: “Just a people?”
Him: “Yeah, and the mommy will have all the babies and make all the money.
Me: “Oh, yeah?”
Him: “And the mommy would probably hate me.”
I just laughed. And he laughed. But, now I’m thinking where the heck did that come from? Something he saw on TV? Something he overheard? Maybe he’s destined to be the next Kevin Federline. Who knows? It’s weird–but very funny, too.
