I don’t know how popular using a crock-pot is now a days, but I have to tell you – I LOVE CROCK-POTS! They have got to be the easiest, quickest way to guarantee time with the family as soon as you get home instead of spending that time in the kitchen slaving over a hot stove. I have found a pretty simple formula to my crock-pot meals:
Meat + seasoning + veggies + sauce/soup = YUM!
This morning, I threw together my meal for tonight and turned it on. Today’s crock-pot venture is made up of this:
1 Rump Roast
garlic powder, onion power, paprika (sprinkle to taste)
1 jar of small onions (these can be found in the vegetable aisle – usually on a top shelf)
8 red skin potatoes cut in fourths
1 can green beans (drained) and/or baby carrots
1 can Campbell’s French Onion Soup (condensed)
Throw it all in a crock-pot and cook on lowest setting. Enjoy when you get home from work!
This is a great way to come home, sit down with the family and enjoy the evening together without spending all of your time in the kitchen preparing for it!
Does anyone else have any crock-pot recipes they love? Feel free to share!

and ax the soup mix.
Yum! Great ideas! I’m definitely going to try those out!
Crockpots are a working mom’s best friend. It’s the great equalizer really. One of my faves is Chicken Cordon Bleu
Two layers of the following:
1/4 lb sliced ham
chicken breasts
half can of cream of chicken soup
1/4 lb sliced swiss cheese
After the two layers put some cooked stuffing on. 6-7 hours later on low and voila. Yum.
OMG! That sounds fabulous!

I’m not usually a poster, but this website is too good not to share with other busy moms:

Another busy mom crockpotted every day for a year and recorded her efforts – they are really well organized, plus they are already family-tested.
