It’s the Tuesday before Thanksgiving, and I’m trying to get all my work done so I can enjoy the holiday with my family. All I can think about is that yummy turkey dinner my mom and husband are going to be whipping up two days from now. So in light of my pre-holiday schedule, and in the name of taking it easy this week, I’m not going to post a recipe. I’m going to ask you guys what you’re doing for the holiday. Any special dishes on the menu? How will you be preparing your turkey? We’re frying ours, which I absolutely love. The bird gets crispy on the outside, moist on the inside – yum! The only downside: no gravy for those mashed potatoes.
So, WMAGs, share! And if you want to post your favorite Thanksgiving recipe, go right ahead!
I hope everyone has a wonderful day with their families.
We’re mixing it up this year: Jay is cooking his mom’s recipes at my parents’ house. They have a bigger place with easier old-folks access than our house. Jay’s mom’s T-day food is the best. So it all works out!
We’re going to my SIL’s house. And I’m bringing a pumpkin cheesecake, that I’m buying–not making. Tday will be easy for me this year. The last 2 years, I had it at my house. I’ll need the rest because I’m going to get up early the next day and shop.
We are deep frying our turkey this year too. I can’t wait!
Happy Thanksgiving!

I’ve always wanted to try the deep-fried turkey thing. I never have.
We’re going to visit my sister and continue our long standing tradition of getting a cooked turkey from Whole Foods. It’s much less stress than trying to cook a turkey, especially with the little ones running around.
