What’s Next?

Whenever we leave a place, my daughter asks “What’s next?” She’s always game for the next thing, whether it’s a simple errand or a big event. She assumes we’ll have fun, discover something new and enjoy the ride.

It’s with that same attitude of possibility and excitement that I’m approaching the next stage of my life.

You see, I quit my job last week. Yeah, that’s right.

Now I’m on vacation, two months after giving birth to my son, contemplating “what’s next” for me.

I don’t want to go into the reasons I left the job. Let’s just say it’s the best thing for me. Now I want to find opportunities that will pay some bills and be something I can truly get jazzed about. I’m thinking freelance writing, editing, blogging, social media advice, etc. are my best bets. I’m keeping all my options open, looking around and hoping I soon whip up a fabulous new professional challenge for myself.
